Publisher, sales through Link, and acceptance
The publisher is Roch Junior NICOLAS, a French sole trader (entrepreneur individuel, EI). The service is operated under the name Typoly. Entrepreneur’s address: 10 RUE DU FAUBOURG DU SOLEIL, 30100 ALÈS, France. SIREN: 109 400 002. SIRET: 109 400 002 00019. Registration: 109 400 002 R.C.S. Nîmes, registered on September 2, 2026. APE code: 58.29C — Application software publishing. Declared activity: publishing, operating and selling software, applications, websites and online digital services.
These terms govern the provision of paid Typoly offers to consumers. Typoly provides the app and correction service; purchases are sold through Link using Stripe Managed Payments, under the sales terms presented at checkout. The offers are intended for natural persons acting for purposes outside their trade, business, craft, or profession. Typoly does not currently accept business purchases. The version presented before checkout governs the order. Acceptance must be recorded through an unchecked checkbox before payment.
Typoly does not impose voluntary commercial geographic restrictions. Access to the service and purchases remain subject to applicable laws, including sanctions and export controls, and to the availability of technical providers and payment methods in the relevant country.
Purchasing credit and using the service are restricted to people aged 18 or older.
Service and technical requirements
Typoly is a macOS app providing access to a prepaid digital correction service, with no subscription or automatic renewal. It corrects selected text or the focused text field using the trigger chosen by the user. It requires a supported Apple silicon Mac, macOS 13 or later, an internet connection, a Typoly account, available credit, and the macOS Accessibility permission needed for the feature to operate.
“Fast” and “Very Very Fast” identify two correction routes. Availability, latency, and output can vary with text length, network conditions, provider capacity, and third-party incidents.
Proofread fixes objective mistakes without seeking to rephrase. Contextualmay improve wording based on context and can therefore materially change words or meaning. The user selects the mode before correction.
AI-assisted correction may be incomplete or inaccurate. The user must review text before relying on it, especially for legal, medical, financial, safety-critical, or professional communications.
Prices, taxes, and credit
The currently configured one-off credit packs are:
| Pack | Price before tax | Credit added |
|---|---|---|
| Light | USD 5 | 5 credits |
| Regular | USD 10 | 12 credits |
| Extra | USD 20 | 25 credits |
These are one-time purchases. Typoly currently offers no subscription or automatic renewal. Applicable taxes are added to the Typoly prices above. Stripe displays the total price, currency, and taxes before payment is confirmed.
Purchased credits have no expiry date while the account remains open and the service remains available.
Credit is a contractual right to use Typoly services. It is not electronic money, has no cash value, bears no interest, and is non-transferable except where mandatory law requires otherwise. The account balance and estimated charge are shown before or after each correction in the app.
Usage is calculated only from input and output tokens: Fast costs 1.75 credits per million input tokens and 8.75 credits per million output tokens; Very Very Fast costs 3.75 credits per million input tokens and 15 credits per million output tokens. No separate cache rate is charged to the customer. The calculation uses actual usage to six decimal places.
Typoly reserves an estimate before the request and finalises only the actual cost of the route that produced the correction. If provider capacity or an incident causes a switch to the other route, the price is recalculated for that route without duplicate charging.
Prices and taxes shown at checkout must be the total amount payable. Any currency conversion or bank charge imposed by the customer's provider is outside Typoly's control.
Order process and payment
- Select an offer and review its essential features, total price, taxes, and credit rules.
- Identify and correct input errors before confirming.
- Accept the Terms of Sale and any legally required immediate-performance request.
- Use a payment button clearly stating that the order creates an obligation to pay.
- Receive confirmation and these terms on a durable medium, normally email.
Purchases use Stripe Managed Payments, with Link as merchant of record for the transaction. Available payment methods are shown at checkout, including cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay where offered. Typoly does not receive full payment-card details. An order is accepted after successful payment authorisation and confirmation. Fraud or sanctions screening may delay or reject a payment.
Each payment attempt uses a unique reference to prevent duplicate orders. Credit is added only after Stripe payment confirmation is received by the server. The server must confirm a successful payment before the balance changes.
The credit ordering and payment flow is offered in English only.
For purchases sold through Link, Stripe Managed Payments handles receipts, invoices and refund or credit-note notifications. Link sends these documents; receipts and invoices include a PDF version. See support for purchases sold through Link.
Keep the documents received after payment. For questions about an order or to request the contractual information held by Typoly, email contact@typoly.app with the order reference. Do not send payment-card details.
EU/EEA/UK withdrawal rights
Where applicable, a consumer may withdraw from a distance service contract within 14 calendar days from the day after conclusion without giving a reason. To request immediate access during that period, checkout must obtain the consumer's express request. If the consumer then withdraws, Typoly may charge only the proportion of service already supplied where the law permits.
A right of withdrawal is lost only where all statutory conditions for the relevant exception have been met, including prior information and any required express consent and acknowledgement. Merely making the first correction or using part of a credit balance does not automatically waive the right of withdrawal.
Requests may be sent using the model form in the Refund & Withdrawal Policy. Valid refunds are issued within the mandatory period and through the original payment method unless expressly agreed otherwise.
The service is prepaid: credit is not a subscription. Using part of the balance does not mean that the whole purchased service has been performed and does not by itself remove the right of withdrawal.
Digital-service conformity and updates
Consumers benefit from all mandatory legal guarantees applicable to digital content and digital services, including conformity remedies. These rights apply independently of any commercial warranty. Nothing in these terms limits them.
Typoly will provide security and conformity updates for the period required by applicable law and will inform users of material changes. Users must install updates within a reasonable time after being informed when failure to do so could prevent conformity. No additional fixed update period is promised as a commercial commitment.
App updates are offered through Sparkle. Onboarding lets you choose automatic update checks and, separately, automatic downloads and installation. You can change these choices in settings. You can also check manually from the Typoly menu. When a new version is detected, the app shows its availability.
You may request that the service be brought into conformity without charge and without undue delay. Where the statutory conditions are met, you may obtain a price reduction or termination. For continuous supply, the guarantee covers the supply period; for a single supply or a series of distinct supplies, defects appearing within two years of supply are governed by the applicable statutory regime. Contact contact@typoly.appto exercise these rights. See the French provisions on continuously supplied services.
Support, incidents, and account suspension
Email: contact@typoly.app. Postal address: 10 RUE DU FAUBOURG DU SOLEIL, 30100 ALÈS, France. Typoly does not currently offer telephone support.
Support aims to provide an initial response within two business days of receiving a request. This target concerns the first response, not full resolution or completion of a refund. Legally required deadlines remain applicable.
Typoly is designed to be accessible around the clock. No specific uptime percentage is guaranteed. Interruptions may occur, including for maintenance or technical incidents. The absence of a quantified availability commitment does not limit users’ statutory rights.
To dispute a charge or an account suspension, email contact@typoly.app and explain the subject of your dispute.
In the event of an outage, Typoly may offer a goodwill gesture following a case-by-case review. Such a gesture is neither guaranteed nor automatic and does not replace or limit legally required refunds or other remedies.
Typoly may temporarily restrict service to protect users, investigate fraud, comply with law, prevent abusive concurrency, or address a security incident. Except in urgent or unlawful cases, notice and a reasonable opportunity to remedy will be provided.
Account closure and remaining credit
Request deletion in the Typoly account settings. You must verify your password again or sign in again with Google, depending on your account’s sign-in method. A two-factor authentication code is also requested when required. Deleting the cloud account makes its credits unavailable on all Macs, subject to mandatory rights. Clear local history separately on each Mac. If you need help, contact contact@typoly.app.
Inactivity alone does not result in account closure, regardless of its duration, or the expiry of purchased or awarded launch credits. Accounts may remain open with no inactivity time limit while the service remains available, subject to the other grounds for closure set out in these terms.
Voluntary account deletion does not entitle the user to a goodwill refund of unused purchased credits. This rule does not limit any applicable withdrawal right, statutory guarantees, or other legally required refunds.
A temporary account suspension does not remove purchased or free credits. They are retained during the suspension and become usable again as soon as it is lifted. Adjustments relating to refunds or payment disputes continue to apply.
If Typoly permanently closes an account for a breach of these terms, no additional goodwill refund of unused purchased credits is offered. Legally required refunds and other mandatory rights remain unaffected.
No additional goodwill refund of unused purchased credits is offered in other account-closure cases, including after the account holder’s death or closure by Typoly without fault by the user. Legally required refunds and other mandatory rights remain unaffected.
If Typoly permanently discontinues a paid service, users will receive one month’s notice and an appropriate remedy for unusable paid credit, subject to mandatory law. No additional goodwill refund of unused purchased credits is offered upon permanent discontinuation. Legally required refunds remain payable.
Liability, governing law, and disputes
Neither party is liable for failure caused by a legally recognised force-majeure event. No exclusion applies to fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, mandatory digital conformity obligations, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
French law governs these terms, without depriving a consumer of mandatory protections in the country of habitual residence. Consumers may use courts made available by mandatory local law.
Language and changes
Material changes apply prospectively. Changes do not remove rights attached to an existing purchase without a lawful basis.
Important changes to the Terms of Sale or Terms of Use are announced by email to the address associated with the account one month before they take effect.
The French version of these terms is the reference version. The English version is a translation. In the event of a discrepancy, the French version prevails, subject to applicable mandatory provisions and consumer rights.
Typoly’s terms are available in French and English through the language selector on every Legal Center page. Link’s sales terms presented at checkout govern the transaction without removing your mandatory rights.
